Bingo is, when you boil all the different elements down, a game of opportunity. If you’ve got the right numbers on that card of yours – the ones which are picked out by the caller – then you can win. If not, you will not win. It’s such a simple idea, but so much fun. Even though it is so simple, there are still some essential things you need to do before you can play if you want to do your very best and stand the ultimate chance of winning. Here are some of the ideas that will serve you well.
Get There Early
Whether you are playing bingo online at Barbados Bingo, you should still get to the session or game as early as you can. There are a number of reasons why this is important. Firstly, if you are in a traditional bingo hall, the closer to the caller you are, the more easily you will be able to hear them, plus they will be able to hear you if you win and shout out. The earlier you get there, the more choice you’ll have of where to sit. Another benefit to this is that you won’t be disrupted by any latecomers who might come in after the game has started (because they haven’t checked out the essential things to do before playing bingo).
Getting there early also means you have plenty of time to get yourself settled and ready to pay attention to the game. You can find a seat, as mentioned above, buy the cards you want, and even get a drink or snack if you need one. You might even have time to socialise.
Don’t Choose Too Many Cards
This again is something that people who are playing in the physical sense need to think about rather than those who are playing online because when you play online everything is automated and therefore you don’t need to concentrate quite so much.
When you are playing physical bingo it can be tempting to buy as many cards as you can afford because this clearly gives you more chance of winning, but there is a problem with that. You need to pay attention to each and every card as the numbers are called. This could mean, if you have too many, that you are unable to keep up with the game and you could easily miss something. Missing a number could be the difference between a win and a loss. To begin with, it’s best to just have one or two cards until you are used to the speed of the game. At this point, you can add more if you want to, although more than four is probably not ideal.
Make Use Of The Tippett Theory
There’s a principle – known as the Tippett Theory – which, though still unproven, can be used when purchasing the cards you are going to use in bingo. Although there is no real proof that it works, many people swear by it, and there is no harm in trying it out. You never know, it might actually be good for your game and your luck.
The concept of the Tippett Theory is that, if the game uses balls with amounts from one to ninety nine, try to use a card with amounts around the centre of that – very close to forty five. This is all down to stats, and assumes that the median figures are likely to be pulled more than the outliers. In a brief game, however, it’s advisable to choose cards with either higher or lower numbers. While it is not known just how this works, lots of people swear by the Tippett Theory!
